Between May 12th-14th, 2023, the St. Augustine Archaeology Association is hosting the 75th Annual Meeting of the Florida Anthropological Association.
Looking Forward from the Ancient City
For the first time since 2013, SAAA looks forward to welcoming archaeology professionals, students, and enthusiasts from across the state to share current and ongoing research in archaeology and anthropology.



About the Conference
The conference will be hosted at Flagler College, with Friday meetings and Saturday papers held in Kenan Hall. Participants can enjoy Saturday night’s award banquet under the gilded ceilings and Tiffany glass windows of the dining room of the Ponce de Leon Hotel. Sunday morning will show off the First Coast’s amazing archaeology, including Spanish colonial settlements, cemeteries, and coastal plantations.

Calling All Student Presenters!
The St. Augustine Archaeological Association (SAAA) is making available up to two (2) grants up to $250 to provide support for students to attend and present at the 2023 Florida Anthropological Society Annual Meeting in St. Augustine between May 12-14, 2023. Applications will be accepted from any undergraduate or graduate students presenting at the Annual Meeting. Applications are due on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023
